Rabat- Now, it is official. The Moroccan national team will play a friendly match against Gabon at the Marrakech Stadium on March 5th, Football Royal Federation said on Friday.
However, it hasn’t yet been officially confirmed who is going to be in charge of the Lions in their friendly encounter against the Gabonese Panthers. But sources quoted by Hespress website said that the Football Royal Federation is considering naming one coach from a list comprised of Hassan Benabicha, Abdullah Al Idrissi and Dutch national Pim Verbeek.
The three coaches will meet members of the Royal Federation next week in order to choose the name who will lead the Moroccan squad in the friendly clash against the Gabonese side, added the same sources.
The chosen coach will not stay on top of the Moroccan national team for a long time, but only until the election of a new head for the Royal Federation who will name a new coach ahead of the African Cup of Nations to be organized in Morocco next year.
