Brussels- King Mohammed VI's far-sighted approach for Africa, which consists of addressing the continent's issues as part of a solidarity-based, sound partnership, was vital during the 4th EU-Africa summit, said, Thursday in Brussels, foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar.
The King's approach for the problems of peace, security and development in Africa turned out to be pivotal in international forums mainly the EU-Africa summit, themed "investing in people for peace and prosperity", Mezouar told the press.
When we scrutinize the summit's theme we notice that it is interwoven with the vision of the King Mohammed VI which calls for a solidarity-based partnership with Africa, he said, adding that the conclusions of the summit clearly show that the EU of today understood that it cannot go on perceiving Africa the way it did in the past.
Mezouar, who represented HM the King in the Brussels summit, noted that Africa is turning the page on the past and looking towards the future and does not need in this prospect a relation based on aid.
